A progressive record to complement our 'Site Specificity in Collaboration'project. By Zoe Moyden and April Suzanne Comer, Art and Design (Interdiciplinary)
I really like this piece, I think using this as inspiration would be beneficicial to our own project, using the sounds from the city and the park and playing them using lots of different sized speakers perhaps. Zoe
Yeh i had a similar thought, i plan to record sounds in the Hyde Park site with the intention of playing them back to the visitors of the city centre installation. Rather than having speakers i want to use headphones so that the sounds can act as a sanctuary drowning out the hustle and bustle of the city to help participants relax into a mind set of reflecion and contemplation.
I was also thinking that we could record any conversations or narratives from the first time we exhibit the installation, then play them on loop with the sound track for the next one. Ideally i'd like to set up a video camera and tripod to film the whole thing.
